I agree with Kristin. What were your settings for the low light shot?

My settings for that one were about f2.8 at 1/25 and 1/30 at ISO 1250. Don't follow your meter if your photographing at night just shoot for the available light and you'd be amazed at what you can pick up. Also try spot metering. Also don't just make one photograph and walk away because chances are it will have motion blur. Stand there like a statue and run the shutter for a couple seconds. One is bound to be in focus if you haven't had too much coffee. haha i'm giving away all of my "secrets". kidding

6.5 to 6.3 fps really helps. I was curious what you shot yours at because I shot a children's ballet a couple of weekends ago. ISO at 1250,1600,and 2000. Shutter speed 1/20 to 1/125 at f4.0 to f5.6. I don't have the fast glass on my zom lenses yet. Like you said, you can't just shoot one shot and expect to nail it. Hope to be posting some of them shortly. Oh, I didn't have any coffee!
